The Ares is a youtube reviewer favorite rack cable system for it's commercial level smoothness, its total weight capacity and the low row + lat pull down capability. The Rep Athena is proven to hold up to commercial life in F45 gyms world wide. While a Rogue FM functional trainer is no doubt a great system it's just not as good as Rep's.

For stand alone cable systems there's the Rep Adonis and Rogue CTM1. The Rogue wins on shear weight stack, offering up to 300lb vs Reps 210lb but the Rep Adonis also allows you to add on bands and or plates to reach 450lb giving Rep a higher total potential weight but it is a little less convenient.

Benches

The prime competitors here from Rep are the Nighthawk and the Blackwing which probably best compare to the Rogue AB3 and the Rogue Mantaray. All are great benches that will last you a life time. The Rep Nighthawk is typically categorized as a S tier bench by youtubers for it's quality/value where as the others are typically rated as A tier benches. You'll be happy with any of these benches but you'll save a lot of money buying the Rep options from Gym Equip
